COP 16, held in Riyadh in December 2024, brought together 197 countries to discuss major climate issues. The theme of this 16th Conference of the Parties was ‘Our Earth. Our Future’. Once again, this international summit gave us the opportunity to deploy our expertise in arid zones, by creating tailor-made spaces to host discussions and negotiations.
To accompany this international mission, GL events Audiovisual & Power mobilized all its know-how to transform the event into an immersive experience.

CUSTOMER NEEDS
- On a 400,000 m² site, GL events designed and deployed a 100,000 m² temporary infrastructure in just 90 days, pushing back the boundaries of event organization.
- - Equipping delegation pavilions, meeting rooms and VIP areas with audiovisual solutions.
OUR SOLUTIONS
- Audiovisual solutions and video capture
Our GL events Audiovisuel & Power teams installed 480 video screens, 300 m² of LED screens and 40 remote cameras throughout the site's various conference areas. Each space was designed to offer an immersive visual experience. The different zones highlighted the speeches of the participating countries and the key conference sessions.
- Meeting room equipment and simultaneous translation
We installed 80 simultaneous translation booths in 30 meeting rooms. This enabled smooth communication between international participants, with real-time translations for each session.
- Networks
Our teams managed the audiovisual and television signals via the Master Control Room and Broadcast Compound. This ensured optimal broadcasting of conferences, panels and presentations, both on-site and remotely.
- Sound and lighting for different areas
We deployed a high-quality sound system. This ensured excellent acoustics in every space. The lighting was designed to create an ideal ambience while highlighting key moments of the event.
